Better than my Dreams

There’s a song that keeps circulating through my mind for the past three or four weeks, “The Evidence” by Josh Baldwin. The evidence that God has had His hand on me throughout my history is more than obvious. Even in valleys of stubbornness and rebelli0on, He has watched over me and rescued me, time and again. Even in the midst of my current trial, it’s clear that God has had His hand involved in every area of my life. Even cancer. Even the ch0ice of doctors. I cannot take credit for His ways or His thoughts. I cannot boast in myself, but only in Him.

As you look through your life, do you see evidence of the hand of God? How and where? Please share with me so we can praise His name together!!

Better Than My Dreams

Verse 1:

When the nights get long, and the stars fade out,

I remember the days filled with fear and doubt.

Lost my way, but then I saw the Light,

In the trial, found a chance to fight.

Chorus:

Oh, I gain by letting go,

In the shadows, Your blessings flow.

With every tear, I see the truth,

You’re redeeming my past, giving life to my youth.

Verse 2:

Had a broken heart, thought I’d never mend,

But You were waiting there, my faithful friend.

When I release my dreams to Your hands,

I find the strength in Your perfect plans.

Chorus:

Oh, I gain by letting go,

In the shadows, Your blessings flow.

With every tear, I see the truth,

You’re redeeming my past, giving life to my youth.

Bridge:

I worship ‘cause You’re good,

When life’s heavy, You understood.

In the dark, Your Light shines bright,

My story’s my offering, my heart takes flight.

Verse 3:

Looking back on the roads I’ve walked,

Every struggle turned to grace when we talked.

I trust You with my broken dreams,

Your love’s the thread weaving through my seams.

Chorus:

Oh, I gain by letting go,

In the shadows, Your blessings flow.

With every tear, I see the truth,

You’re redeeming my past, giving life to my youth.

Outro:

God, I know You do abundantly more,

Every door closed leads to something sure.

Whatever comes, I’ll lift my hands,

In Your journey, Lord, I’ll take my stand.

My faith’ in you; my heart will trust,

In Your loving arms, I find my rest.
