In the Hands of Grace
Have you ever wondered how people survive certain situations or traumas? God gives His children the grace they need to grow and thrive even in the worst of circumstances. I often think of Corrie Ten Boom and how she and her sister endured the concentration camp. The awful pain, hunger and hardships they had to survive. Yet they were joyful, saving pieces of Scripture and encouraging each other spiritually. Frankly, it’s something I cannot understand or imagine.
Whatever trial or difficulty you are going through today, right now, God will make a way, even when there seems to be no way. He is for you. He is in your corner. You and I are in these challenges for a reason. I don’t want to fight or withdraw. I’m curious to see what He’s up to. The next victory is right over the hill!!
Give us grace, Lord!
In the Hands of Grace
Verse 1:
In the dark of night, I felt so alone,
Life’s trials came, like a heavy stone.
But when I was broken, I called your name,
You turned my ashes into a flame.
Pre-chorus:
I remember the day, I laid down my pride,
You opened my heart, showed me what's inside.
All the blessings I had missed, when I held on too tight,
Now I'm learning to trust, letting go feels so right.
Chorus:
When the world feels heavy, Your Light shines bright,
You’re my hope in the shadows, my anchor in flight.
My story’s my offering, every tear and scar,
You redeemed my past and showed me who You are .
Verse 2:
I walked through the fire, it burned me deep,
But in the haze, Your promises I'd keep.
Remember that moment, on my knees and prayer?
You whispered sweet truths, I knew You were there.
Pre-chorus:
With the church by my side, we lift each other high,
As we serve with our hearts, together we’ll fly.
My faith is Your strength, it's grounded and true,
In the trials I find, my purpose in You.
Chorus:
When the world feels heavy, Your light shines bright,
You're my hope in the shadows, my anchor in flight.
My story’s my offering, every tear and scar.
You redeemed my past, and showed me who You are.
Bridge:
I rest in Your arms, dreams released to the air,
You're holding my future, I know that You care.
When I can't see my way, I remember Your plan,
Abundantly more than I could ever understand.
Chorus:
When the world feels heavy, Your Light shines bright,
You're my hope in the shadows, my anchor in flight.
My story’s my offering, every tear and scar,
You redeemed my past and showed me who You are.
Outro:
So I'll trust in the journey, for the road may be long,
With you by my side, I’m forever strong,
In the hands of grace, where I meant to be,
I find my contentment, Lord, I worship thee.
