Brought to the Light

I am overwhelmed  by the generosity of my friends and family. Whether they are taking time to share with me, bring me home cooked meals, come to pray over me, bring their guitar and worship together, bring me homeschooling ideas, come and just hang out for a few, or bring some yarn and teach me how to knit socks, I’m blown away b y so many caring people, many from church and our community. I was reminded in my Bible study (Matthew 9) of the friends that gather their person and took h8im to Jesus for healing. While, they were focused on his outward healing needs, Jesus saw his true need, spiritual healing.

I am reminded that I, too, need God’s healing internally much more than my need to be physically healed of cancer. What is God wanting to heal you from? What is your greatest need, not just your felt need?

Join me as we humbly allow Him to do His work.

Brought to the Light

Verse 1:

I was lost in the shadows,

Carrying my weight,

Friends lifted me up,

To where love can relate.

Pre-chorus:

They brought me to Jesus,

Through the crowd and the noise,

I felt his warm whispers,

Speaking life to my voice.

 Chorus:

Healing my heart, it's a brand new start,

Forgiveness flows in, tearing  fears apart,

He called me His child, I'm learning to be brave,

Take heart, don't be afraid, he's the one who saves.

Verse 2:

Remember that night,

When I felt so alone,

Thought I was unworthy,

But I found my home.

Pre-chorus:

He looked in my eyes,

Said,” Your sins are all gone,

Rise up, take your mat,

You're my beloved one.

Chorus:

Healing my heart, it's a brand new start,

Forgiveness flows in, tearing fears apart,

He called me His child, I'm learning to be brave,

Take heart, don't be afraid, he's the one who saves.

 Bridge:

In the silence, I found my voice,

With every step, I made the choice,

To let go of burdens I used to carry,

Now Light shines where it used to be scary.

Chorus:

I’m letting go and trusting,

In the plans He has for me,

Blessings coming in the waiting,

This is where I’m meant to be.

Though my dreams feel like they’re fading,

He’s writing my story true,

I worship ‘cause He’s good,

And He’s always leading through.

Outro:

So here's my story, of grace and of light,

With Jesus beside me, I'll win this fight,

Brought to the Light, where I'm free and whole,

In His arms, He found my soul.
