Life Unlocked

It’s amazing how one moment your life can seem normal. One incident can change the whole course of time. One-minute things are fine, then in one instant, everything has changed. A health crisis can have the ability to shake our world in ways that are hard to explain. While everyone responds differently in the initial moment, eventually things settle, and we are all faced with those pressing questions of what next? What treatment will we pursue?  Will I get sick? Can I continue to work? And ultimately, will I be cured?

For us, we have found a new normal in the rhythm of treatment procedures with a week off. But there are never any guarantees. Cancer is not the only thief that steals our joy and interrupts our daily routines. But whatever your challenge, God knows today and your tomorrow.

“For I know that plans I have for you, says the Lord,” They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11.

Rest in Him. I’m learning to take one day at a time. To devote each day with the strength I have for Him and His glory. Whatever He puts in front of me, to work hard and present it to Him as a sweet and pleasing offering.

What was your first reaction to bad news in your life? What were your questions and concerns? What does your new normal look like now?

Life Unlocked

Verse 1:

In the still of the night, I found my way,

Lost in shadows, couldn't see the day.

He whispered softly, “Child, here’s the light,”

In Him was my hope, shining so bright.

Chorus:

Life, oh life, He is life,

Guiding me through every strife.

From the thief whose comes to steal,

I found the truth, it's so real.

Verse 2:

Remember those days, doubts held me tight,

Chasing the darkness, losing the fight.

But then came the dawn, I felt the grace,

For me to live as Christ, I found my place.

Chorus:

Life, oh life,  He is life,

In His arms, there's no more strife,

Every tear that fell before,

Now I'm living, I can soar.

Bridge:

He called me by name, shined through my fears,

His divine power washed away my tears.

With every step, I walked so free,

This abundant life, it's meant for me.

Verse 3:

Through valleys low , I journey on,

With every heartbeat, I'm never alone.

The stories I tell, the dreams I chase,

Filled with His glory, I embrace.

Chorus:

Life, oh  life, He is life,

Brightening paths when they're rife.

From the thief who meant to bind,

I've found the joy, peace of mind.

Outro:

So here's my song, my heart laid bare,

Each moment a treasure, each breath a prayer.

In the end, it's clear, I've gained so much,

For the life I live, it's all his touch.

Life, Oh life, He is life!
