Tell Him

A song that keeps racing through my mind this morning is “Tell It to Jesus”. Such a great hymn.

 Are you weary, are you heavyhearted?
Tell it to Jesus,
Tell it to Jesus;
Are you grieving over joys departed?
Tell it to Jesus alone.

Chorus:
Tell it to Jesus, tell it to Jesus,
He is a friend that's well known;
You've no other such a friend or brother,
Tell it to Jesus alone.

2 Do the tears flow down your cheeks unbidden?
Tell it to Jesus,
Tell it to Jesus;
Have you sins that to men's eyes are hidden?
Tell it to Jesus alone.

[Chorus]

3 Do you fear the gath'ring clouds of sorrow?
Tell it to Jesus,
Tell it to Jesus;
Are you anxious what shall be tomorrow?
Tell it to Jesus alone.

[Chorus]

4 Are you troubled at the thought of dying?
Tell it to Jesus,
Tell it to Jesus;
For Christ's coming kingdom are you sighing?
Tell it to Jesus alone.

[Chorus]

But isn’t this the key?

When life gets tough, when people are mean, when situations turn from bad to worse or you get bad news from the doctor, tell it to Jesus. Why?

Because He is the only one in control.

He is the only one who can do something about your troubles.

He tells us that when people set a trap for us, they will end up in the trap themselves.

God hear our cries and will respond.

It may not turn out the way we want but He will hear, and He cares.

If He can tack how many hairs are on my head, He can car about a whole lot of other things in our life. He gathers our tears in a vile. He knows and feeds the sparrows and the flowers of the field. And we are much more valuable than sparrows. How precious are His thoughts toward us (Psalm 139).

If there are things bothering you or causing you pain, join me and let’s “Tell Him”.
