He and Me

 When God gets into your business and your personal life, he has the right and the opportunity to clean house. I have always struggled with putting things in front of God at times. There are times I find it hard to always faithfully put Him first. When I don’t, He shows up to point these things out. Periodically, these have been areas where I put things in front of Him. Prioritizing my love and focusing on Him is a daily, intentional fight. But I try to fight it every day, for Him to have preeminence. What a challenge for us! He already I preeminent, but to put Him there in my lie daily is where the rubber meets the road. 

What are your greatest struggles in your relationship with Jesus? 

He and Me 

Verse 1: 

When I lost my mother, 

I thought my foundation would bottom out. 

She was my defender, my source of unconditional love, 

My spiritual mentor,  

But Jesus showed me, 

It was supposed to be He and me. 

Verse 2: 

When I had to step down from ministry, 

 I was ever so passionate about, 

 Due to serious health issues, 

 I grieved for a long time feeling I had lost my purpose, 

But Jesus showed me,  

It was supposed to be about He and me. 

Verse 3: 

When I got diagnosed with cancer,  

I felt I was losing my family and friends, 

Will I die or will I live, 

To see their joys and milestones ahead, 

But Jesus showed me, 

It's supposed to be about He and me. 

Chorus: 

Jesus wants all of me, 

Not just the parts I let others see. 

Jesus wants first place with no parts hidden, 

He wants my soul, no parts forbidden/ 

It's supposed to be, He and me. 

Bridge: 

Jesus has a way of removing people and circumstances, 

That interfere in our hearts and lives, 

To keep us authentic and real, 

 It's the greatest testimony, 

When we choose to reveal, 

It's supposed to be He and me.
