Love & Beyond

(I’m really struggling with some of this in verse 1) 

Some ideas: 

If the ocean were a well of ink and the sky was made of papers, 

And all the stalks of grass could be pens, 

We could not adequately express the depth, the breadth, 

The width, and the height of the love of God. 

In my heart, there’s a quiet place, 

A garden where I find solace and grace. 

Whispers of peace in a gentle breeze, 

Roots of faith beneath the trees. 

Idea #2 

If the ocean were a well of ink, 

And the sky of paper blank, 

With every blade of grass as a pen, 

No man could write how deep the Love of my Friend. 

The love of God, so vast, so wide, 

In every heartbeat, He’s by my side.

And the sky was papers, More than we think, 

All the grass as pens, still we’d fall short, 

To write down the love that gives me support.

A depth so wide, it’s my refuge, my good.
