Complete my Faith

Have you ever felt like your faith is lacking? Weak and full of doubt?  

I can sympathize with those in Scripture which asked Jesus for faith or to have their faith made complete. There are those who had faith and Jesus commended them. Sometimes I feel that my belief is inadequate and lacking, but I know I can ask and He will answer. I only need faith of a mustard seed and even thn, sometimes my faith seems smaller and has no strength to trust. 

Dear Jesus, 

 Help my unbelief and strengthen my faith. 

Complete My Faith 

Verse 1: 

When my faith is weak 

And I cannot see my way clear, 

You’re the one I seek, 

Help me remember you are near, 

Encourage me with Your love, 

And complete my faith. 

Verse 2: 

When the exhaustion takes over, 

And I cannot sense Your presence, 

I cry out to You to cover, 

My soul with Your penetrating existence, 

Lift my spirit with Your grace 

And Complete my faith. 

Chorus: 

My faith is weak and weary 

Burdened by fatigue and despair, 

Anxiety rushes in like a fog, 

And grips my heart with daily care. 

Come in and take over my very heart, 

Bind me up in holy prayer. 

Complete my faith. 

Verse 3: 

When the stress feels overwhelming, 

Smothering out reason or rhyme, 

I pray to You to steer the helm, 

And refocus and fix my mind, 

Guide me through with Your mercy, 

And complete my faith.   

Bridge: 

Faith is the confidence of what we hope for. 

Faith is the assurance of what we cannot see. 

Jesus is the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. 

So let us not lose heart or grow weary, 

Come, Lord Jesus, 

Complete my faith!
